What we collect
We collect your email address when you create an account. We also collect the information you choose to include in your reviews, such as rent, utility costs, and repair experiences.
Anonymous public display
Everything displayed publicly is shown under an anonymous handle, such as "Renter #1234." Your name and email are never shown next to a review.
Verification documents
If you upload a lease or utility bill to verify your tenancy, we store it privately and use it only to confirm you lived at the address. We never share verification documents with landlords or the public, and we delete them after verification is complete.
We do not sell your data
We never sell personal information. We use data only to operate TenantTea, display anonymous reviews and ratings, and communicate with you about your account.
Reviewer identity
We do not disclose reviewer identities to landlords or other users except where required by valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena, or as necessary to enforce our rights or respond to a legal claim.
